Privacy Policy

Bhagavad Gita - Divyora

Effective date: 22 October 2026  ·  Last updated: 22 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Bhagavad Gita - Divyora app (package com.krishna.BhagwatGita, the "App", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use it on Android.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

a) Information created automatically

  • App identifier: on first launch the App creates a random device identifier so your progress can be saved without an email address or password. It is not your phone number, IMEI or Google account.
  • Device and app details: app version, Android version, device model, selected language and similar technical details needed to show the right content.

b) Information you choose to provide

  • Profile: a display name and avatar, if you set them.
  • Your activity in the App: reading and listening progress, favourites, notes, highlights, journey progress and reflections, search history, and reels you like or watch.
  • Feedback: anything you write in the feedback form, or send to us by email or WhatsApp.

c) Information collected by third-party services

The App uses Google services that may collect information as described in section 3, such as advertising identifiers, usage events, approximate location derived from IP address, and crash diagnostics.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, microphone or camera data.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the App's content: verses, chapters, audio, stories, kathas, topics, journeys and reels.
  • To save and sync your progress, favourites, notes and highlights.
  • To send the optional daily verse notification at the time you choose.
  • To provide and verify Premium subscriptions.
  • To show advertisements to non-Premium users.
  • To understand how the App is used and to fix crashes and errors.
  • To answer your feedback and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

These services process data under their own privacy policies:

ServicePurpose
Google AdMobDisplays ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded and app-open ads). May use the advertising ID. Policy
Google User Messaging PlatformAsks for and stores your ad and analytics consent where required (for example in the EEA and UK).
Firebase AnalyticsAnonymous usage statistics, such as which screens are opened. Policy
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash reports and diagnostics to improve stability.
Google Play BillingProcesses Premium purchases. We never see or store your payment card details. Policy

4. Advertising and your consent

Where the law requires it, the App asks for your consent before ads or analytics use your data. Until you answer, analytics and ad storage stay switched off.

You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices (shown where applicable). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings under Google → Ads.

Premium subscribers do not see ads.

5. Permissions

  • Internet / network state: to load content, audio and ads.
  • Notifications: for the optional daily verse. You can turn it off in the App or in Android settings.
  • Exact alarms and restart after reboot: so the daily verse arrives on time, including after your phone restarts.
  • Foreground service and wake lock: so audio keeps playing with the screen off or the App in the background.

6. Sharing

When you share a verse card, text or reel, the App passes it to the app you pick in Android's share sheet. What happens next is governed by that app.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while you use the App. You can delete your account and all data linked to it at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the App. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing jackybharwad007@gmail.com. Uninstalling the App removes data stored on your device; data held by the third-party services above is kept according to their own policies.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
